Assessment (Examinations and Promotion)
- Divine Life International School, Naroda believes in achieving an equilibrium in all yearly Assessment. Assessment of students is a vital exercise aimed at evaluating their knowledge, talents, thoughts, or beliefs. The most essential fact about assessment is that it has to be specific to check the learning outcomes.The Unit Test/ the Class Test is for the ‘Practice’ and ‘Student involvement’. There are various methods used in the classroom for the Assessment :- excursions, educational visit, debate, elocution, plays, Projects etc.The Terminal Examination is arranged periodically to gauge student learning relative to certain standards (tools for assessment: 2 Terminal exams and Final Assessment). Thus, it is an integrated part of the quest for improved education.
- Annually two terms and an annual exam are conducted. Promotion to the next class is given on the basis of aggregate of all the three exams.
- Internal Marks are awarded on the basis of a child’s performance in unit test and overall performance throughout the year in terms of his/her regularity and punctuality.
- Students absent from the examinations without any major reason and prior notice, will be considered failed.
- Re-examination will be held for students who remain absent for any subject/examination.
- Students found copying or using any unfair means during tests/examination will be dealt with strictly and will be liable to be penalised.
- Promotions will be considered as per the Government circular.
- All promotions and detentions are decided only after careful consideration of all aspects of the student’s progress. Hence, the decision of the Principal in this regard is final and binding.
- An application for verification of marks in special cases may be considered at the discretion of the Principal.
