Code of Conduct
D.L.I.S students are expected to have the right attitude towards learning and discipline. All D.L.I.S students are expected to know and apply the basic principles that will help them to achieve a high standard of personal discipline.
These Principles are as follows :
- Follow Rules – Rules must be followed, otherwise chaos will reign.
- D.L.I.S students must respect their elders, Parents, teachers and staff of the school.
- Be regular and punctual.
- Be neat and clean.
- Be humble in your success.
- Be truthful and honest.
- Be courteous
- Love your school and take care of its belongings.
- Do not use abusive language.
- Do not be arrogant.
- Do not copy or cheat.
- The school management reserves the right to add, alter or amend any of these rules and the same shall be binding on the parents and the pupils.
Birthday Celebrations
- Students are allowed to distribute chocolates to their classmates or teachers during regular school hours.
- No, cake cutting ceremonies will be promoted in school.
- No, gifts for any student, teacher or staff.
General Discipline
- The students are expected to reach the school 5 minutes before the school starts.
- If the student is late, due to any unavoidable circumstances, the parent should accompany the child and seek the Principle’s permission before sending the ward to the class.
- Students should always greet teachers, elders and friends wherever they meet them weather in school premises or outside.
- All the students should bring their almanent daily to the school with all the information duty and correctly filled up with their parents photographs and signature.
- Student should go inside their respective classrooms before 1st bell ring for prayer as well as after recess.
- No student is allowed to leave the school premises during the otherwise, expect the permission of principal on certain conditions only.
- Student should maintain discipline and observe good manners.
- Student should avoid unnecessary arguments with teachers.
- Shouting, running or whistling in the school building is strictly prohibited.
- Student should communicate in English inside the school premises and otherwise also.
- All students should come in properly washed and neatly ironed uniform. Black shoes and grey shocks specified by the school only will be allowed.
- In winter student are allowed only to wear Bottle Green colours sweater. Denims and leather jackets are strictly not allowed. Any other coloured sweater is also not allowed.
- Student should maintain decorum of school uniform i.e. avoid use of bracelets.
- Students should not leave their respective classroom without the consent of teachers.
- While moving around in the school premises i.e. going for P.E, Computer Lab or AV Room students should maintain silent and move in single line with their hands back without disturbing the Other classes.
- The senior students should allow and help the junior to move first and in proper order.
- The senior students should follow and respect instructions of the appointed school perfect and class Monitors in the absence of teachers.
- Student should not pass derogatory statement and abusive language in the school premises.
- Do not involve yourself in any quarrel or brawls with the co-students or the peons of the schools.
- As the peons are part of Managing staff to school, students should respect them & follow their instructions without indulging in any the argument with them.
- Student are advised to bring home food items during recess, refrain to eat junk and packed food as it affects the health.
- Sudent should not bring money or any valuable goods in the school. School is not responsible for the goods lost.
- Bringing mobile phones in school premises is strictly prihibited, if found the same will be confiscated by the school management.
- All the student should bring the required study material according to the daily time. No borrowing or lending will be entertained.
- Student should complete their school work and do their homework regularly.
- Every student should take care of school property, nobody should spoil the disc or benches or any other furniture by writing of drawing on it. Damage observed or done even by accident should be reported at once to the principal / class teacher. Take care of switch off all lights and fans before leaving classrooms.
- Every students should must take initiative for keeping the school premises clean by the throwing waste papers, pencil sharpening, plastics or any other waste material in the dust bins only.
- Student should take proper care of their belonging and keep them in order.
- All the belonging like pencil box and Tiffin boxes, Water Bottles, boobs, notebooks, sweaters etc should be properly labelled with name, standard and section.
- Student should take special care when in computer or Science laboratory and Library.
- All the students are expected to follow the code of conduct.
Attendance and Leave
- All students should be regular and punctual to ensure their overall development.
- No leave will granted accept in case of illness or for valid reason.
- In case of sickness leave note duly signed by parent should be submitted to the school along with Medical Certificate.
- Student will not be allowed to go home in between school hours. In case if sick or unforeseen problems, parents have to come and collect their ward personally. No student will be allowed to go home with unknown person.
- Remaining absent without valid reason will not be considered.
- It is compulsory for every student to maintain 85% attendance of the total working days failing which student will not be allowed to appear for any test / Assessment conducted by the school.
- No student should remain absent in any examination or test conducted by the school. If in case student has missed examination due to health reasons then Medical Certificate has to be issued in the school.
Admission
- Admission is made subject to vacancy on the basis of child’s aptitude. The management solely reserve the right to admission. Admission is confirmed only after the acceptance of the admission form duly field by the parent along with the fees and the necessary documents. The admission is liable to be cancelled if the student remains absent without any information for more than a week or if any of the information given in the admission is is found to be untrue.
Withdrawal
- If you wish to withdrawal the child in the next session, application for L.C. should be made before 31st May, else fees for new session will be charged.
- A calendar month’s written notice should be given to the principal by the Parent / Guardian for the withdrawal of the pupil.
- Leaving certificate will not be issued unless all the dues are cleared.
- Incase of failure of payment of fees within the stipulated time, admission is liable to be cancelled.
- Absence from the school without notification is a serious offence which can cause cancellation of admission.
- The school Management reserves the right to strike off the student’s name if the student is found guilty of breaking the school rules.
