G.S.E.B for Secondary aims at learners aged 15 to 16 years. It sets clear learning objectives for the two years of secondary education. Each subject’s curriculum framework is designed to engage learners in an active and creative learning journey.
The language curriculum enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively and to develop the skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment. The maths curriculum revolves around problem solving, which provides a structure for the application of mathematical skills and development of a holistic understanding of the subject.
The science curriculum focuses on scientific enquiry which is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning investigative work and recording and analysing data. This aims to develop confidence and interest in scientific knowledge.
Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.
